The Clinical Career Advisor assists 3rd and 4th year students in achieving their career goals, including making the transition to clinical rotations, ongoing career exploration and refinement, preparing their applications for post-graduate residency training, and communicating their career goals to residency programs in writing and verbal application processes inherent to audition and interview season interactions.
The Regional Director of Clinical Education will assist the Associate Dean of Clinical Education in creating, managing, and constantly improving student clerkship rotations, in the Utah Region. Responsibilities will include planning and implementing programs that help ensure excellent outcomes in the third and fourth year clinical education program.
The ideal candidate will possess a proficient background in nurse or physician anesthesiology, demonstrating a commitment to academic excellence, innovative teaching, and the enhancement of clinical competencies among nurse anesthesia students.
Demonstrate experience and expertise in biomedical or clinical education for predoctoral and/or postdoctoral students, provide service to the university and professional communities and engage in innovative scholarship and research to advance medical knowledge.
This position involves teaching a small group of first-or second-year medical students one-half day per week on either a Monday or Wednesday afternoon. Adjunct faculty must be physicians. The typical week involves 4 hours with students and 2 hours grading SOAP notes and providing feedback
Adjunct Faculty will participate in lab-based teaching activities at RVU-MCOM campus in Billings, Montana. Responsibilities include teaching foundational clinical knowledge, skills, reasoning, and attitudes of students throughout the MCOM curriculum.
Participate in OPP teaching and related clinical activities at RVUCOM-SU.
Demonstrate experience and expertise in Osteopathic Principles and Practice (OPP) & Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) in the context of clinical education for pre-doctoral students, provide service to the university and professional communities and engage in innovative scholarship and research to advance medical knowledge.
